MEMS stands with the migrant worker-led movement responding to the Trump administration’s harsh immigration policies
The Mission to End Modern Slavery stands with immigrants who are unjustly targeted by the Trump administration’s harsh immigration policies. We are inspired by the migrant worker-led movement across the United States that is fearlessly responding to surveillance, baseless denials of immigration benefits and relief, arrests, disappearances, and militarized repression of protests.
Migrant workers have already endured the difficult experience of leaving their countries for economic opportunities and survival, often being forced to migrate to the United States because of underdevelopment, climate crises, and war. While many of the migrant workers that MEMS supports are already fighting back against trafficking and wage theft in their workplaces, they are also organizing to protect each other in the face of the U.S.’s cruel immigration policies.

MEMS is committed to empowering migrant workers, their families, and communities who are organizing for justice and dignity in this intense political moment. Through training, supporting organizing strategy, fundraising, and coalition building with organizations such as the Tanggol Migrante Network and the International Migrants Alliance, MEMS seeks to build the grassroots movement to end the exploitation and oppression of migrant workers!
